Opening new Academies within schools is the fastest growing part
of Dimensions Training Solutions’ business. With Hairdressing
Academies already operating within schools in Barnsley,
Wakefield, Leeds and Northallerton, we are planning to open
further ‘In School’ Hair and Beauty Academies throughout South,
West and North Yorkshire.
If you are still at school and approaching year 10/11 it may be
possible for you to attend one of our Academies for up to 2 days
a week to follow a hairdressing or beauty qualification. We offer
a number of different opportunities for young people at school
from basic hairdressing qualifications, through to NVQ Level 1
or VRQ Level 2 and Young Apprenticeship Programmes.
Training will take place at one of our Academies (some of which
are actually located in schools!) and will normally be a mixture
of practical skills and theory classes which teach you about the
hair and beauty industry.
Dimensions Training Solutions have been working with many
different schools to develop programmes of learning that not
only teach young people about hairdressing or beauty but also
help them to get more out of their school work as a result. We
have had fantastic achievements with hundreds of young people
across Yorkshire who have benefited from joining our schools
programmes, achieving qualifications and progressing into
Apprenticeships.
14 – 19 Diplomas in Hairdressing and Beauty Studies
Dimensions Training Solutions have been at the forefront of the
development of the new 14-19 Diplomas, having an involvement
in the design and content from the beginning through to starting
the largest cohort of students in the Yorkshire area in September
2009 and 2010.
