If you are 14/15 and in year 10/11 at school it may be possible for you to spend 1 or 2 days a week following either a ‘Salon Services’ or an NVQ Level 1 Qualification whilst at the same time getting used to the ‘World of Work’.

Learning in the classroom does not suit everyone’s learning style. Many young people, especially those who enjoy practical things rather than academic can benefit from spending time during years 10 & 11 with a Work Based Learning Provider like Dimensions Training Solutions.

Dimensions Training Solutions have been working with many individual schools to develop a programme of learning that not only develops the young person in the occupation of hairdressing, but also helps those year 10 & 11 students to get more out of their schoolwork by relating it back to the Hairdressing NVQ and Key Skills.
